Checking the diameter of the main journals of the crankshaft
Using a micrometer, measure the diameter (in the center of the seat) main journals of the crankshaft, which should be 51.959 - 51.979 mm (for M4R engine) and 47.959 - 47.979 mm (for H4J engine).
Compare the resulting diameter value with the diameter class designation stamped on the crankshaft (see table «Crankshaft journal diameter classes»).
Checking the diameter of the connecting rod journals of the crankshaft
Using a micrometer, measure the diameter (X2) (in the center of the seat) connecting rod journals of the crankshaft, which should be 43.953 - 43.971 mm.
Compare the resulting diameter value with the diameter class designation stamped on the crankshaft (see table «Diameter classes of connecting rod journals of crankshafts»).
