Crankshaft oil seal on flywheel side
Remove the crankshaft seal (1) , using a screwdriver and a piece of wood, being careful not to damage the crankshaft seating surface.
Degrease and clean the mating surface of the crankshaft with a cleaner.
Install bushing (2) mandrels for pressing the crankshaft rear oil seal (Mot. 1791).
Tighten the bolts (3) mounting sleeve.
Install a new crankshaft seal (4) on the mounting sleeve for pressing.
Install pusher (5) fixtures (Mot. 1791).
tighten screw (6) pusher.
Remove:
- pusher;
- mounting sleeve bolts;
- mounting bushing.
Crankshaft oil seal, timing side
Remove the front crankshaft oil seal (1) with a screwdriver.
Note. Mark the installation direction of the crankshaft oil seal.
Degrease and clean the mating surface of the crankshaft with a cleaner.
Install the new crankshaft front oil seal (2) on the mandrel for pressing the front crankshaft oil seal (Mot. 1790) (3).
Install a drift on the block with a new crankshaft front oil seal.
Align groove (4) mandrels with crankshaft key.
Install the old crankshaft pulley bolt (5).
Tighten the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt until the bearing surface of the crankshaft front oil seal is in contact with the bearing surface of the mandrel (Mot. 1790) with timing cover.
Remove all fixtures. Make sure the front crankshaft oil seal is installed correctly.
