Installation
Parts that must be replaced:
- Front camshaft oil seal
- Nuts of fastening of a gear pulley of a camshaft of final valves
- Nut of fastening of a gear pulley of a camshaft of final valves
Attention!
- Do not scrape the mating surfaces of the aluminum parts as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.
- To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Clean with surface cleaner:
- seal seat of each camshaft,
- camshaft seal housings.
Note: Before installation, it is strictly forbidden to lubricate the oil seal along the outer diameter.
Installing the camshaft oil seal
Note: Be sure to hold the camshaft oil seal with its protective sleeve (10) when working with it, since this type of gland is very fragile. It is strictly forbidden to touch the gland (11) hands to prevent oil leakage after installing the oil seal on the engine.
Install the safety sleeve with a new oil seal (13) onto the intake and exhaust camshafts, being careful not to touch the oil seal with your hands.
