Removing the rear suspension rubber bushing
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Remove the rear wheels from the vehicle.
3. Remove the rear brake drums (see chapter "Brake system").
4. Remove the rear suspension beam
5. Before removing the rubber bushings of the rear suspension, mark the position of the rubber bushing in the seat of the rear suspension beam:
- mark (M1) And (M2) on the rubber sleeve and on the surface of the oppression and beams;
- copy label (M1) from a used rubber bushing to a new one.
Note: These marks are necessary for the correct installation of the rubber bushings. Proper installation of the rubber bushings prevents premature wear of the rubber bushings and guarantees optimal contact of the vehicle wheels with the road.
6. Insert mandrel (A) tools for removing and installing rubber bushings of the rear suspension (Tar. 1838).
7. Remove the rubber bushing from the socket in the rear axle beam by striking the mandrel with a hammer (A).
Installing the rear suspension rubber bushing
1. Place the rubber bush in the seat of the rear axle beam so that the marks (M1) And (M2) matched.
Note:
To press the rear suspension rubber bushing, use the following components of the rear suspension rubber bushing remover and installer (Tar. 1838):
- threaded rod (IN).
- cover (WITH),
- cover (D),
- anti-friction washer (E),
- nut (F).
2. Install the tool for removing and installing the rubber bushings of the rear suspension (Tar. 1838).
3. Tighten the nut (F) fixtures so that the surface of the rubber bushing (T) was installed directly above the nest of the rear axle beam.
4. Make sure the labels (M1) And (M2) match exactly.
5. Tightening the nut (F) tools, fully install the rubber bushing into the socket.
6. Remove the device for removing and installing rubber bushings of the rear suspension (Tar. 1838).
7. Install the rear axle beam on the vehicle.
8. Install rear brake drums and rear wheels.
9. Check wheel alignment.
10. Bleed the brake system.
