Note: When removing, remember the marking colors of the shock absorbers and springs so as not to mix them up during installation.


Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove the rear wheels.

Install the hydraulic jack and place shims, rest the jack against the cup of the right spring without compressing the spring.

Mark the position of the spring.

Unscrew the lower shock absorber mounting bolt (Fig. 4.38).

Remove the hydraulic jack.

Remove the spring together with the lower cup (Fig. 4.39).

Caution: If the upper spring cup has become detached from the socket, replace it.




Installation



Install the lower spring cup onto the rear suspension beam (position the guide correctly).

Install the spring together with the top cup in the previously marked position, starting from the top.

Place a hydraulic jack with a wooden block under the spring cup.

To pre-tighten the lower shock absorber mounting bolt, compress the rear suspension.

Attention! The final tightening of the shock absorber mounting bolts is performed when the car is standing on its wheels.


Remove the hydraulic jack.

Install the rear wheel.

Lower the lift and place the car on its wheels.

Tighten the lower shock absorber mounting bolt and wheel bolts to the specified torque of 105 N·m.
