Attention! The bearing has a built-in signal disk for the wheel speed sensor, take care not to damage the disk (if he is) when installing the bearing.
Removing
Remove the steering knuckle.
Pic. 4.18. Pressing the hub out of the bearing: 1 - puller
Using a press, press the hub out of the bearing by installing a mandrel with an outer diameter of 36.5 mm on it, and a puller under the steering knuckle (pic. 4.18).
Pic. 4.19. Pressing out from the hub of the inner ring of the bearing: 1 - puller
Press the bearing inner race out of the hub using a puller (pic. 4.19).
Install the puller jaws into the groove of the wheel bearing inner race and remove it.
Remove the bearing snap ring.
Pic. 4.20. Removing the bearing outer ring
Remove the outer ring of the bearing, resting a piece of pipe with an outer diameter of 65 mm against the inner ring (pic. 4.20).
Attention! Do not use the probe holder as a support (if it is installed).
Installation
Attention! Do not move the vehicle with the wheels not installed in the hubs and the drive shafts not tightened to the required torque, as this can lead to the destruction of the wheel hub bearings and damage to the ABS signal disc.
Attention! Be sure to check the condition of the hub surface and knuckle bore before installing the bearing. Replace damaged steering knuckle.
Clear:
- inner and outer surfaces of the new bearing in contact with the steering knuckle and hub;
- surfaces of the steering knuckle in contact with the new bearing;
- hub surfaces in contact with the new bearing.
Install the sensor holder.
If the vehicle is equipped with a wheel speed sensor, position the sensor holder at an angle X 35°±5°from the vertical axis of the steering knuckle: this position corresponds to the center of the seat (pic. 4.21).

Pic. 4.22. Primary bearing pressing
To press the bearing, install a mandrel with an outer diameter of 70 mm on the outer ring (pic. 4.22).
Attention! In order not to damage the bearing, do not lean on the inner race as the bearing pressing force is very high.
Install the bearing snap ring.
Pic. 4.23. Secondary bearing pressing
To press the bearing, install a mandrel with an outer diameter of 50 mm on the inner ring (pic. 4.23).
Install the steering knuckle assembly with hub and bearing to the vehicle.
Torque tighten:
- mounting bolt of the ball bearing of the suspension arm (62 Nm);
- nut of fastening of a finger of a ball joint of a tip of steering draft (37 N·m);
- hub nut (280 Nm);
- bolts of fastening of a shock-absorber rack to a rotary fist (105 Nm);
- brake disc screws (140 Nm);
- guide block bolt (105 Nm);
- wheel bolts (110 Nm).
