Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Attention! Make sure that the color coding of the springs and shock absorbers of the car is identical to the marking of the spare parts.
Unlock the steering wheel.
Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.
Remove the front wheels.
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wire holder.
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor.
Turn away bolts of fastening of directing blocks and suspend a brake to a body.

Unscrewing the bolts of the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle (pic. 4.24).
Disconnect the lower end of the shock absorber from the steering knuckle by pressing on the latter.
Hang the steering knuckle.

Loosen the shock strut-to-cup nut using a hex wrench and a socket wrench (pic. 4.25).
Remove the cup and shock absorber assembly with spring.
Select suitable cups and install them together with the spring compressor on the spring.
Compress the spring until it moves away from the cups.

Loosen the shock absorber rod nut using a hex wrench and a socket wrench (pic. 4.26).
Separate the parts that make up the assembly from each other «shock absorber assembly with spring».
Installation
Secure the spring tool in a vise.

Note. To facilitate the installation of a new spring, observe the position and orientation of the spring and tool cups (pic. 4.27).

Install the spring in the cup groove (pic. 4.28).

Observe the order of installation of parts (pic. 4.29).
Be sure to replace the shock absorber rod nut.

Torque tighten the shock absorber strut mounting nut on the spring cup to the required torque of 62 Nm (pic. 4.30).
Unload the spring.
Remove the spring compressor.
Install the remaining components in the reverse order of removal.
Attention! Secure the wheel speed sensor wires if they have been disconnected from the holder.
Attention! Do not kink the brake hose.
Torque tighten:
- nut securing the shock absorber to the body (44 Nm);
- bolts of fastening of a shock-absorber rack to a rotary fist (105 Nm);
- wheel bolts (105 Nm).
