Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the front wheels.
Disconnect the brake hose from the shock absorber.
Remove:
- nut for fastening the pin of the upper ball joint of the stabilizer bar;
- nut for fastening the ball joint pin of the steering rod;
- bolts securing the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle.

Work performed on the left side of the vehicle

Remove the splash guard cup cover retaining pins.
Make a cut in the cover to gain access to the upper shock strut mounting bolts.
Work performed on the right side of the vehicle

Remove the splash guard cup cover retaining pins.
Lift and slide the right cover under the left one.
Remove the cover from the wing side.
Remove:
- shock absorber strut rod mounting nut and upper strut support;
- two bolts for the upper mounting of the shock absorber strut to the body;
- shock absorber strut assembly with spring.
Installation
Caution: Securely fasten the brake hose and ABS sensor wires if they were disconnected.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the threaded connections to the required torques.
Note: If the vehicle is equipped with xenon lamps, they must be initialized.
