Removing
Install suitable grips on the compression tools and install the assembly on the spring.
Compress the spring until it moves away from the bearing surfaces of the cups.
Using the tool, remove the shock absorber rod nut.
Separate from each other the parts included in the shock absorber assembly with the spring.
Installation
Note. Shock absorber struts are stored in a warehouse in a horizontal position.
Under these conditions, a short-term loss of performance is possible with shock absorber struts designed to work in a vertical position.
Before installing the shock absorber strut on the car, to bring it into working condition, it is enough to push and extend manually its stem several times in a vertical position (perform several full stretch-compression strokes). If it is necessary to replace the spring, observe the position and orientation of the coils of the spring and the hooks of the tool to facilitate its correct installation.
Observe the sequence and direction of installation of parts.
tighten the nut (new) the required moment. Decompress the spring and remove the tool.
