You will need: keys "13", "17", "18", "21", Allen key "6", key for wheel bolts.

1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and install the anti-rollback stops ("shoes") under the rear wheels.

2. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts.

Warning: Loosen and tighten wheel bolts only with the vehicle on the ground.


3. Open the hood.

4. Using one wrench to hold the shock absorber rod from turning, use the second wrench to loosen the upper shock absorber strut mounting nut.

5. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely.

6. Remove the wheel.

11. ...and tie the steering knuckle to the body elements with wire.

12. Unscrew the upper shock absorber mount nut and remove the thrust washer.

13. Remove the shock absorber strut assembly.

14. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the upper strut mount nut with the vehicle on the ground to a torque of 44 N·m (4.4 kgf·m). The tightening torque of the steering knuckle-to-strut mounting bolts is 105 N·m (10.5 kgf·m).

Note: After replacing the front suspension shock absorber strut or its components, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment angles (see "Checking and adjusting wheel alignment angles"), especially if new parts have been installed. To do this, use the services of workshops with special equipment.
