Rear suspension spring (4x2 drive) (Renault Duster 1)

Tightening torque: Lower shock absorber mounting bolt - 162 Nm.

When removing, mark the colors of the spring markings so as not to mix them up when installing.

Removal

Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove the rear wheels.

Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring from the holder at point (1).



Install the hydraulic jack (3) with the lining, rest the jack against the cup of the right spring without compressing the spring.

Mark the position of the spring.

Unscrew the bolt (2) of the lower shock absorber mount.

Remove the spring (4) together with the lower cup, removing the hydraulic jack.

Installation

Be sure to replace the rear shock absorber lower mounting bolt.

Install:

• lower spring cup on rear suspension beam (position the guide correctly),
• spring together with the upper cup into the previously marked position, starting from the top.

Install a hydraulic jack with a lining under the spring cup.

To install the lower shock absorber mounting bolt, load the rear suspension.

Tighten the lower shock absorber mounting bolt.

Tighten the lower shock absorber mounting bolt to the specified torque (162 Nm).

Remove the hydraulic jack fixture.

Install the wheel speed sensor wiring harness.

Install the rear wheel.

Repeat the operation on the other side of the car.
