Brake lines consist of rigid and flexible parts.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Install a pedal hold tool on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid escaping.
Rigid pipe left rear brake
Unscrew:
- fitting for fastening the rigid brake pipeline to the rear suspension beam (1),
- fitting of a rigid brake pipeline on the working cylinder of the rear brake mechanism (2).
Disconnect the rigid pipe from the holder on the rear suspension beam.
Remove the left rear brake hard line.
Rigid pipe right rear brake
Unscrew:
- union of fastening of the rigid brake pipeline to a brake hose of a back suspension bracket (3),
- union of the rigid brake pipeline on the working cylinder of the rear brake mechanism (4).
Disconnect the rigid pipe from the holder on the rear suspension beam.
Remove the right rear brake hard pipe.
Installation
Be sure to replace the rigid brake pipe holders.
Reinstall the rigid brake lines in their original position.
Attach the rear rigid brake pipes to the rear suspension beam.
Close without tightening:
- unions of fastening of rigid brake pipelines to brake cylinders,
- unions of fastening of rigid brake pipelines to brake hoses.
Torque tighten:
- unions of fastening of rigid pipelines to brake cylinders (14 Nm),
- rigid brake line fittings on the rear brake hoses (14 Nm).
Remove the pedal hold tool from the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid escaping.
Remove air from the brake system.
