Disengaging the parking brake
Pull the parking brake lever up slightly and, pressing button 2, lower the lever completely to the floor.
If the parking brake is not fully released, a red indicator light will illuminate on the instrument panel.
Engaging the parking brake
Lift the lever up.
Reliable braking of the car when parked is achieved by moving the lever upwards by approximately 10 ratchet teeth. Your car is equipped with self-adjusting brake mechanisms of the rear wheels. The parking brake requires adjustment only when servicing the brake system.
