Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Install a pressure device on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid leaking out.
Raise the car.
Left rear brake rigid line
Fig. 6.75. Releasing the left rigid pipe fastening: 1 – rigid pipeline in the area of the rear suspension beam; 2 – rigid pipeline in the brake caliper area
Unscrew the rigid pipe in the area of the rear suspension beam and in the area of the brake caliper (Fig. 6.75).
Release the rigid line from the holder on the rear suspension beam.
Remove the rigid conduit.
Rigid right rear brake line
Fig. 6.76. Releasing the right rigid pipe fastening: 1 – rigid pipeline in the area of the rear suspension beam; 2 – rigid pipeline in the brake caliper area
Unscrew the rigid pipe in the area of the rear suspension beam and in the area of the brake caliper (Fig. 6.76).
Release the rigid line from the holder on the rear suspension beam.
Remove the rigid conduit.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Fig. 6.77. Checking the installation of brake pipes
Note: Make sure that the brake pipes are secured in the holders without being pinched and that the pipes are not twisted with each other. If the brake pipes are twisted, the ABS and trajectory stabilization system will not work properly (Fig. 6.77).
Tighten to the specified torque:
- rigid pipe in the area of the rear suspension beam (14 Nm);
- rigid pipeline in the brake caliper area (14 Nm).
Bleed the brake system.
