Removal
Disconnect the battery.

Remove the drawer frame by pressing the spring latches (Fig. 6.96).

Remove the drawer by pressing the spring latch with a flat-head screwdriver (Fig. 6.97).
Disconnect the wiring harness from the angular and lateral acceleration sensor.
Unscrew the sensor mounting nuts and remove it.
Caution: Handle the sensor with care.
Installation

Be sure to install the sensor in the direction of vehicle movement (in the direction of the arrow in Figure 6.98).
Note: A sensor that has been subjected to impact must be replaced.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the angular and lateral acceleration sensor mounting nuts to the specified torque of 8 Nm.
Connect the battery.
If the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor needs to be replaced, perform the necessary operations using a diagnostic tool.
