Attention! Brake fluid is aggressive to the skin, and especially to the eyes; highly toxic when ingested; in addition, it destroys the paintwork. Brake fluid is extremely hygroscopic, absorbing moisture from the environment, which leads to loss of its working properties. Mixing different types of fluids such as DOT 3 or DOT 4 with DOT 5 may cause brake system failure.
The reservoir for brake fluid and clutch fluid is located in the engine compartment (see fig. 2.24). The tank is transparent, which allows you to monitor the level of liquid in it. When the level drops below the mark «MIN» the indicator lamp in the instrument cluster comes on. The liquid level with the lid closed should be between the marks «MIN» and «MAX». If you need to top up the fluid, carefully wipe the area around the filler hole on the reservoir to prevent dirt from entering the brake system.
Attention! Coolant (antifreeze) is aggressive to the skin, highly toxic when ingested and destroys the paintwork.
