Warning! Brake fluid is aggressive to the skin, especially to the eyes; highly toxic when ingested; in addition, it destroys the paintwork. Brake fluid is extremely hygroscopic, absorbing moisture from the environment, which leads to the loss of its working properties. Mixing different types of fluids, such as DOT 3 or DOT 4 with DOT 5, can lead to failure of the brake system.
The reservoir for brake fluid and clutch fluid is located in the engine compartment (see fig. 2.24). The reservoir is transparent, which allows you to monitor the fluid level in it. When the level drops below the "MIN" mark, a control lamp lights up in the instrument cluster. The fluid level with the lid closed should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. If you need to top up the fluid, carefully wipe the area around the filler hole on the reservoir to avoid dirt getting into the brake system.
Warning! Coolant (antifreeze) is aggressive towards the skin, highly toxic when ingested and destroys paintwork.
