When the engine is running, the coolant heats up to a temperature of about 100°C, so you should be very careful when working on the cooling system.

To determine the coolant level, the transparent wall of the expansion tank is marked with "MIN" and "MAX".

The expansion tank is located in the engine compartment and is connected to the radiator by a hose. When the engine is cold, the fluid level should be above the "MIN" mark. As the engine warms up, the fluid level rises, without exceeding the "MAX" mark.

If it is necessary to add fluid, wait until the engine has cooled down to a temperature of 30–40°C, then carefully unscrew the expansion tank cap, relieving any possible pressure in the cooling system.

Add liquid to the required level, then tighten the tank cap tightly.

If the fluid level drops systematically, it is necessary to find the leak in the cooling system. To do this, visually inspect the engine, radiator, hoses and their connections, the system bleed screw and the tightness of the expansion tank plug.

If a leak is detected, repair it as soon as possible.

Do not add water to the cooling system, as this lowers the boiling point and increases the freezing point of the liquid.
