To replenish the coolant, also in the warm season, a mixture of antifreeze and distilled water should be used.
Attention! In emergency situations, especially in summer, clean water can be poured into the cooling system. However, then, as soon as possible, it is necessary to bring the concentration of antifreeze and anti-corrosion agent in the coolant to the required level.
1. Do not allow coolant level 1 to fall below the MIN·mark. Coolant level when engine is cold (coolant temperature is approximately +20°C) must be between the MINI and MAXI marks on the expansion tank (see illustration).
8.1 Do not let the coolant level 1 fall below the MIN·mark
2. Top up the coolant volume only when the engine is cold. Failure to do so may result in engine damage.
Attention! When the engine is hot, open the expansion tank cap carefully. When removing the cover, put a rag on it. Open the cover whenever possible at a coolant temperature below +60°C. Risk of burns!
3. Loosen cap first one turn to release excess pressure. After that, unscrew the cover completely and remove.
4. Perform a visual leak test of the cooling system if the fluid level drops sharply within a short time.
