Attention! Starting the engine by towing the car is not allowed, because in this case the catalyst will be damaged.
Towing hooks are located on the front on the right side of the car, and on the rear - on the left side of the car (see arrows in illustrations 3.0 and 3.0a).

Towing Rules
1. Turn the key in the ignition to position M. This is necessary in order for the steering, brake lights, direction indicators and wiper to function.
2. Place the shift lever in neutral position.
3. Turn on the hazard warning lights on the towing and towed vehicles.
It should be borne in mind that when the engine is not running, the brake booster and power steering do not work. Therefore, when braking, press the brake pedal harder and apply more force to the steering wheel.
The use of a tow bar is recommended. When it is used, the danger of a collision between the towing and towed vehicles is eliminated. The tow rope must have a sufficient degree of elasticity. Use only a rope made of synthetic fibers or with elastic intermediate links.
Towing vehicles with automatic transmission
4. Move the gear lever to the position «N».
- The maximum permissible towing speed is 40 km/h.
- The maximum allowable towing distance is 50 km.
When towing a vehicle with a faulty gearbox, at a higher speed than the permissible one, or for a longer distance, use the partial loading method by raising the drive wheels. When the engine is not running, the pump that circulates the transmission oil does not function, and as a result, the necessary degree of lubrication of the gearbox is not provided.
