Oil is used to lubricate and cool the rubbing parts in the engine; during operation, it sometimes becomes necessary to add oil between oil changes.

If after running in the vehicle the oil consumption exceeds 0.5 liters per 1000 km, you should contact a service station.

Frequency: Check the engine oil level periodically, at least before each long trip, to avoid engine damage.

To accurately determine the oil level, it is necessary to place the car on a flat horizontal surface and turn off the engine for a long time.

Checking the oil level

Checking the oil level

  • remove the dipstick and wipe it with a lint-free cloth;
  • insert the dipstick all the way (for vehicles equipped with a "dipstick plug" C, screw the plug in completely);
  • remove the dipstick again;
  • check the oil level: the level should not be below the "mini" mark A or above the "maxi" mark B.

After checking the level, insert the dipstick all the way or tighten the dipstick plug all the way.
