Attention! On gearboxes with plugs of both versions, when replacing and checking the oil level, be sure to set the selector lever to the "P" position.

The design of the drain and inspection plugs has been changed.

The procedure for draining and checking the oil level is the same for both plug versions.

The automatic transmission oil should be drained hot (no more than 60°C) to remove as much contaminants as possible.

Place the car on a lift.

Remove the engine oil pan guard.

Old design.

Two parts of the following purpose are screwed into the hole in sequence:
  • control plug;
  • drain pipe.

To completely drain the oil from the gearbox, remove both units.
