Attention! When performing this operation, the following requirements must be strictly observed:
- - do not smoke in the working area and do not bring hot objects to the working area;
- - take measures to prevent splashing of gasoline under the influence of residual pressure in pipelines;
- - take measures to protect against the ingress of gasoline on elements that can fail.
Attention! Be sure to turn off the ignition before performing this operation.
Preparing to drain (engines K4J, F4R)
Disconnect the fuel supply pipe fitting.
Install in its place «tee».

Attach to «tee» a hose of sufficient length to drain fuel into a container with the pump running (pic. 2.22).
Preparing to drain (K4M engine)
Disconnect the fuel supply pipe fitting.
Install in its place «tee».

Attach to «tee» a hose of sufficient length to drain fuel into a container with the pump running (pic. 2.23).

Move the connector to the side without disconnecting it (pic. 2.24).

Disconnect the brown connector of the Protection and Switching Unit (pic. 2.25).
Fuel drain (all engines)
Connect the brown connector pin to the terminal «+» battery to drive the fuel pump.
Wait until the gasoline stops flowing out in a continuous stream.

Disconnect the terminal «+» battery from contact (pic. 2.26).
Note. An air-operated transfer pump can also be used to empty the fuel tank, which must be connected to «tee» (Mot. 1311-08).
