Removal



Remove the top engine covers.

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove the battery.

Disconnect the fuel injection system ECU connectors.

Unscrew the battery shelf mounting bolts and remove the wiring harness mounting flange (Fig. 2.19).

Disconnect the wire harnesses from the battery tray.

Remove the battery shelf.

Remove the injection system ECU together with the bracket (Fig. 2.20).

Remove the air intake pipe and air ducts (Fig. 2.21).

Remove the air filter housing.

Installation



Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the battery tray mounting bolts (21 Nm).

Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.

Tighten the battery cover mounting bolts to the specified torque (4 Nm).
