Remove the intake silencer mounting bolt (Fig. 2.7).
Remove the intake silencer.

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold (Fig. 2.8).
Caution! Do not damage the vacuum take-off pipe on the intake manifold. If the pipe is broken, replace the manifold.
Remove the two air filter cover mounting bolts.
Remove the filter element.
