Caution: Do not allow engine oil to come into contact with drive belts during operation.


Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove the engine oil pan guard.

Remove the air conditioning compressor support bracket mounting bolts (Fig. 2.3).

Remove the air conditioning compressor support.

Install the special tool (Mot. 1329) on the oil filter (Fig. 2.4).

Remove the oil filter.

Installation



Lubricate the oil filter gasket with fresh engine oil.

Screw the oil filter on until the gasket touches the engine surface.



Tighten the oil filter by hand 3/4 turn.

Install the air conditioning compressor support.

Tighten the air conditioning compressor support bracket mounting bolts to the specified torque (44 Nm).

Add oil to the required level.

Wipe off any oil stains with a rag.

Install the engine oil pan guard.
