Note: Prepare for engine oil leakage by placing a suitable oil pan under the engine.


Engine D4F (1.2 l)



Removal the oil pump



1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Drain the engine oil.

4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.

5. Remove the front right wheel from the car and the fender liner.

6. Remove the accessory drive belt.

7. Remove the lower engine thrust rod.

8. Remove the right engine mounting support.

9. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

10. Remove the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive.

11. Remove the oil filter.

12. Remove the bottom cover.

13. Remove the timing sprocket and the front crankshaft oil seal.

14. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (1).

15. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the oil intake.

16. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the oil pump from the engine.

Installing an oil pump



1. Clean the contact surfaces with a cleaning agent.

Attention:
  • To ensure the required tightness, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (avoid any fingerprints).
  • Be sure to replace the oil intake gasket with a new one.


2. Apply a bead of 1.3mm diameter silicone sealant as shown in the figure to ensure the oil pump is sealed.

3. Install the oil pump, aligning its drive with the flat surfaces of the crankshaft.

4. Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts in the specified sequence to a torque of 10 N·m.

5. Install the oil intake with a new gasket and tighten the oil intake mounting bolts.

6. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Petrol engines K7M and K4M (1.6 l) and diesel engine K9K (1.5 l)



Removal the oil pump



1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.



2. Remove the oil dipstick.

3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.

4. Drain the engine oil from the engine.

5. Remove the lower engine thrust rod.

6. Remove the engine oil pan.

7. Loosen the bolts (1) and remove the oil pump.

7. Loosen the bolts (1) and remove the oil pump.


Installing an oil pump



1. Check the presence of centering pins in the cylinder block.

2. Install the oil pump.

3. Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to 25 Nm.

4. Install the engine oil pan.

5. Install the lower engine thrust rod.

6. Install the oil dipstick.

7. Install the engine protective pan.

8. Add oil.

1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

8. Remove the catalytic converter.

9. Remove the accessory drive belt.

10. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

11. Remove the right engine mounting support.

12. Remove the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive.

13. Remove the timing sprocket from the crankshaft.

14. Remove the crankshaft oil seal from the timing drive side.

15. Remove the engine oil pan.

17. Remove the oil pump with chain and drive sprocket (2).

Installing the oil pump drive sprocket



1. Use a cleaning agent to clean and degrease the sprocket mounting surfaces on the crankshaft, as well as the contact surfaces of the crankshaft and the crankshaft thrust plate.

Caution: Contact surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (keep fingerprints away).


2. Install the oil pump drive sprocket onto the crankshaft.



3. Install the oil pump drive chain.

4. Install the oil pump.

5.Apply a 1mm thick bead of rubber sealant to the crankshaft thrust plate

Caution: Excess sealant may be squeezed out when tightening threaded connections. Sealant in contact with coolant may cause damage to some components (engine, radiator, etc.).


6. Install the crankshaft thrust plate.

7. Tighten the crankshaft thrust plate mounting bolts in the sequence shown in the figure to a torque of 12 Nm.
