Removal the starter



1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

2. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.

3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

4. Remove the intercooler outlet pipe (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").

5. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (1).

5. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector (1).


6. Loosen the nut and disconnect the terminal (2) of the starter solenoid.

6. Loosen the nut and disconnect the terminal (2) of the starter solenoid.


7. Loosen the nut and disconnect the starter power supply terminal (3).

8. Move the starter wiring aside.

9. Loosen the bolts (4) and remove the starter from the engine.

Installing the starter



Note: Before installation, check that the dowel pin is present in the engine block.



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note:

Tightening torques:
  • starter bolts: 44 Nm;
  • starter power supply terminal nut: 8 Nm;
  • starter solenoid terminal nut: 5 Nm.
