Removal and installation of the generator, K9K engine (diesel 1.5 l) (Renault Logan 2)

Removal the generator

1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Remove the right front wheel from the vehicle.

4. Remove the accessory drive belt (see chapter "Mechanical part of 1.5 l diesel engine").

5. Remove the front bumper from the car.

6. Remove the air-to-air intercooler (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").

7. Disconnect the generator terminal (1).



8. Disconnect the generator connector (2).

9. Loosen the bolts (3) and remove the generator from the engine.

Generator installation

Note: To facilitate installation, press the generator bushings (4) using pliers or a vice.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note:

Tightening torques:

• generator mounting bolts: 25 Nm;
• generator positive terminal nut: 21 Nm.
