Removal the generator
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.
4. Remove the right front wheel from the vehicle.
5. Remove the right front fender liner from the vehicle.
6. Remove the accessory drive belt.
7. Disconnect the generator connector (1).
8. Unscrew the nut (2) of the generator terminal.
9. Move the generator wiring to the side.
10. Loosen the bolts (3) and remove the generator.
Generator installation
1. To facilitate installation, press the generator bushings (4) using pliers or a vice.
2. Install the generator.
3. Tighten the generator mounting bolts to 25 Nm.
4. Connect the generator wiring. The tightening torque of the wiring terminal nut is 21 N·m.
