Removal the generator
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the right front wheel from the vehicle.
4. Remove the front bumper from the car.
5. Remove the accessory drive belt (see chapter "Mechanical part of the 1.6 l petrol engine").
6. Remove the generator terminal (1).

7. Disconnect the generator connector (2).
8. Move the generator wires to the side.
9. Loosen the bolts (3) and remove the engine generator.

Generator installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
Tightening torques:
- generator mounting bolts: 25 Nm;
- positive terminal fastening nut to the generator: 21 Nm.
