Removal the starter
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air filter unit (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").
3. Unscrew the nut (1) of the positive starter terminal.
4. Unscrew the nut (2) of the starter excitation terminal.
5. Move the starter wires to the side.
6. Loosen the bolts (3) and remove the starter from the engine.
Installing the starter
1. Check the presence of the dowel pin in the engine cylinder block.
2. Install the starter on the engine
3. Tighten the starter mounting bolts to 44 Nm.
4. Connect the starter terminals.
5. Tighten the starter positive terminal nut to 8 N·m and the starter excitation terminal nut to 5 N·m.
6. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
