Removal the generator
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the front bumper from the car.
4. The drive belt of the accessory equipment is shining (see chapter "Mechanical part of the 1.6 l petrol engine")
5. Unscrew the nut and remove the terminal (4) of the generator.
6. Disconnect the generator connector (5).
7. Unscrew the upper bolt (6) of the generator.
8. Loosen the lower bolt (7) of the generator.
9. Using a screwdriver, slide the generator off the multi-function engine mount.
10. Completely unscrew the lower bolt and remove the generator from the engine.
Generator installation
1. To facilitate installation, press the generator bushings (8) using pliers or a vice.
2. Install the generator on the engine.
3. Tighten the generator mounting bolts to 21 Nm.
4. Connect the generator connector.
5. Connect the generator terminal and tighten the terminal nut to a torque of 14 N·m.
6. Move the cooling system radiator with the fan and condenser assembly to the right and install it on the lower supports.
7. Install the accessory drive belt.
8. Install the front bumper on the car.
9. Connect the battery.
