Removal spark plugs



1. Loosen the bolts (1) of the air filter unit cover.

2. Remove the air filter unit cover with the air intake duct.

3. Disconnect the high-voltage wires (5) of the spark plugs.

3. Disconnect the high-voltage wires (5) of the spark plugs.


Caution: To disconnect high-voltage wires, do not pull on the wires - pull only on the connectors.


4. Remove the spark plugs using a 14mm spark plug wrench (Ele. 1382-01).

Installing spark plugs



1. Check and, if necessary, adjust the spark plug electrode gap using a set of flat feeler gauges. Spark plug electrode gap (NGK): 0.65±0.05 mm.

2. Install the spark plugs and tighten them using a torque wrench (Ele. 1933) and a spark plug wrench (Ele. 1933) to 23 Nm.



3. Connect the high-voltage wires to the spark plugs.

Note:
  • When installing high-voltage spark plugs, it is necessary to apply a bead of FLUORINATED compound
  • GREASE (PART NO. 82 00 168 855) 2 mm in diameter on the pnutron edge of the cap.

4. Install the air filter unit.
