Description
The ignition system with static distribution of high voltage to the spark plugs is a system that allows to increase the amount of available energy at the spark plug level by eliminating all intermediate links between the spark plug and the coil.
This system also allows the elimination of all moving elements in the ignition system.
The power module is integrated into the injection system ECU. Thus, the ignition system uses the same sensors as the injection system.

Ignition coils (four, according to the number of cylinders) are fixed directly to the spark plug using a screw on the cylinder head cover.
The ignition coils are energized in pairs in series (static twin ignition) via contacts C H2 and C H3 of the injection system ECU:
- contact H2 for cylinders 1 and 4;
- contact C H3 for cylinders 2 and 3.
Removal the ignition coil
Disconnect the battery.
Disconnect the wire connectors from the ignition coils.

Caution: Do not damage the wire connectors 1. If this happens, replace them.
Remove the screws 2. fixing the coils.
Installation
The coil is installed in the reverse order of removal. Replace the ignition coil sealing rings if necessary.
