Removal and installation the trunk door



Removal the tailgate without hinges



1. Remove the trunk door trim.

2. Disconnect the following connectors:
  • rear wiper motor;
  • high brake light;
  • trunk door lock;
  • heated rear window;
  • license plate lighting.

3. Remove the trunk lid wiring.

4. Remove the rear window washer hoses.

5. Remove the pneumatic struts of the trunk door.

6. Loosen the bolts (1) on both sides of the vehicle.

7. Remove the trunk door (two people will be needed).

Installing a tailgate without hinges



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk door and the alignment of the door surfaces and adjacent body surfaces.

2. Remove the trunk door trim.

3. Disconnect the following connectors:

There are three ways to adjust the trunk lid:
  • by means of bolts for fastening the tailgate hinges;
  • by means of the nuts securing the tailgate hinges;
  • via the tailgate locking bar panel.

1. Loosen the bolts (1) securing the awnings to the trunk door on both sides of the vehicle.
