The sensors remain active for 15 minutes after the vehicle stops, then switch to standby mode.
In this mode, the sensors generate a signal if the difference between two consecutive pressure readings exceeds 68 mbar or if the pressure has changed by more than 68 mbar since the last signal was generated (as a result of cooling the tires).
Tires are considered cold 1 hour 45 minutes after the vehicle has stopped.
The minimum time to detect air leaks from tires is about 15 minutes.
The message "Inflate tires for highway driving" is displayed (for reference), if the vehicle is driven at a speed exceeding 170 km/h for 3 minutes and if the pressure in at least one tyre is 400 mbar below the low-speed pressure. This message is not issued at any speed if the tyres are set to motorway pressure.
Warning signal thresholds:
- cold tire pressure above normal = tire pressure 700 mbar higher than prescribed;
- warm tire pressure above normal = tire pressure 850 mbar higher than prescribed;
- under pressure = tire pressure is 400 mbar below the prescribed pressure;
- tire pressure much lower than normal = tire pressure lower than prescribed by 600 mbar;
- different tire pressure = the difference in pressure in the left and right wheels of the same axle is greater than 500 mbar.
Messages displayed on the board:
- "Puncture, replace tire" + STOP indicator light lights up + image of the corresponding tire appears on the dashboard display + sound signal;
- "Set the required tire pressure" + displaying the image of the corresponding wheel on the display;
- "Inflate your tires for highway driving" + display images of all wheels on the display;
- "Tire sensor faulty" + the corresponding wheel image goes out;
- "Electronics malfunction" + "service" indicator light comes on + images of the corresponding wheels on the display go out.
Information about tire pressure is not displayed on the instrument panel.
