Measuring the vehicle's ride height is necessary to maintain the accuracy of the wheel alignment, as these angles vary slightly with the height of the vehicle. The ground clearance measurement points are shown in Figure 4.5.
Dimension R1 is measured between the floor and the axis of rotation of the front wheel.
Dimension R2 is measured between the floor and the axis of rotation of the rear wheel.
