Measuring the vehicle's ground clearance is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the wheel alignment angles, as these angles vary slightly depending on the vehicle's height. The points for measuring ground clearance are shown in Figure 4.5.
The R1 dimension is measured between the floor and the front wheel pivot point.
The R2 dimension is measured between the floor and the rear wheel pivot point.
