Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Unlock the steering wheel.

Remove the front wheels.

Remove the spring from the front of the bracket and the brake hose from the shock absorber strut (Fig. 6.59).

Remove the two caps from the guide pins.

Unscrew the guide pin mounting bolts (Fig. 6.60).

Remove the brake pads.

Hang the bracket on the shock absorber strut.

Installation



Check the thickness of the brake pads.

Replace faulty parts.

Clean:
  • shoe guides;
  • brake calipers;
  • brake discs.

Move the piston into the cylinder until it stops.



Rotate the brake caliper upward.

Remove the brake pads.

Check the condition of the brake mechanism parts.

Replace faulty parts.

Install new pads.

To avoid noise when driving, install the inner brake pads with the arrow facing down, as shown in Figure 6.61.

Install:
  • guide pin mounting bolts;
  • spring onto the front of the bracket, starting from the bottom.

tighten the guide pin mounting bolts to the specified torque of 30 Nm.

Secure the brake hose to the shock absorber strut.

Caution: Do not twist the brake hose.


Install the front wheels.

tighten the wheel fastenings to the required torque of 105 Nm.

Note: Press the brake pedal several times to set the wheel cylinder pistons to the working position.
