Place the car on a lift.

Check the position of the power parking brake cable (Fig. 6.50).

If the power parking brake cable is secured, install a strap clamp.

If the cable is not secured,

check the condition of the assisted parking brake cable sheath in the area shown in Figure 6.51.

If the power parking brake cable housing is not damaged, secure it to the bracket.

Install the band clamp.

If the power parking brake cable housing is frayed, replace the power parking brake.

Install strap clamps C and D on the two brackets A and B of the casing of the parking brake cable with booster (Fig. 6.52).
