Removal and installation the crankshaft position sensor, K7M engine



Removal the crankshaft position sensor



1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (1).

1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (1).


2. Loosen the bolts (2) and move the crankshaft position sensor support (3) to the side.

3. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

Installing the crankshaft position sensor



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note:
  • Tightening torque of the crankshaft position sensor mounting bolts: 8 Nm.
  • If the crankshaft position sensor is replaced, it is necessary to perform the crankshaft position sensor initialization procedure.


Using a diagnostic tool, check for fault codes in the control unit memory and, if necessary, clear the fault codes.

Make sure the engine is running properly.

1. Remove the air resonator.

2. Loosen the two bolts (4) securing the crankshaft position sensor.

2. Loosen the two bolts (4) securing the crankshaft position sensor.


3. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.



4. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

Installing the crankshaft position sensor



1. Install the crankshaft position sensor.

2. Install the engine wiring mounting support.

3. Install the two crankshaft position sensor mounting bolts and tighten to 8 Nm.

4. Install the air resonator.

5. Calibrate the crankshaft position sensor pulse disk using a diagnostic tool.

6. Use a diagnostic tool to read the fault codes from the control unit memory.

7. If necessary, troubleshoot.

8. Clear the fault memory.

9. Check the engine's performance.
