Removal the engine control unit
1. Using a diagnostic tool, perform the procedure for preparing the engine control unit for repair (see the operating instructions supplied with the diagnostic tool).
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the air filter unit.
4. Disconnect the connectors (1) of the engine control unit.
5. Unscrew the nuts (2) and remove the engine control unit (3).
Installing the engine control unit
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque of engine control unit mounting nuts: 8 Nm.
After installation, use the diagnostic tool to perform the post-repair initialization procedure for the engine control unit.
