Removal the coolant temperature sensor
1. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector (1).
2. Unscrew the coolant temperature sensor.
Installing the coolant temperature sensor
Caution: To ensure proper sealing, contact surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (keep fingerprints away).
1. Using a cleaning agent, clean and degrease the mounting surface of the coolant sensor on the cylinder block.
2. Install the coolant temperature sensor with a new gasket and tighten to 22 N·m.
3. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.

Removal the coolant temperature sensor
1. Remove the air resonator.
2. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector (3).
3. Remove the coolant temperature sensor.
Installing the coolant temperature sensor
Note: Apply one to two drops of Frenetanche to the coolant temperature sensor threads (only if the sensor is reused).
1. Using a cleaning agent, clean and degrease the surfaces of the coolant temperature sensor installation on the cooling system chamber.
2. Install the coolant temperature sensor and tighten to 30 Nm.
3. Connect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
4. Install the air resonator.
5. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
