Removal and installation the purge valve of the fuel vapor recovery system



Removal the purge valve



1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the connector (1) of the electromagnetic purge valve.

2. Disconnect the connector (1) of the electromagnetic purge valve.


3. Disconnect the pipes (2) of the electromagnetic purge valve.

4. Insert the plugs.

Caution: To prevent contamination from entering the fuel system circuit, place plugs on disconnected fuel system components.


5. Disconnect the electromagnetic purge valve (3) of the fuel vapor recovery system.

Installing a purge valve



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Removal and installation the fuel vapor absorber



Removal the fuel vapor canister



1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.



2. Remove the right front fender from the vehicle.

3. Disconnect the fuel vapor management system lines (1) and (2).

3. Disconnect the fuel vapor management system lines (1) and (2).


Caution: To prevent contamination from entering the fuel system circuit, place plugs on disconnected fuel system components.


4. Install the plugs.

5. Unscrew the nuts (3) and remove the fuel vapor absorber.

5. Unscrew the nuts (3) and remove the fuel vapor absorber.

Installation of fuel vapor absorber



1. Remove the plugs.

2. Immediately install the fuel vapor absorber and tighten the mounting nuts.

3. Connect the fuel vapor recovery system lines.

4. Install the right front fender on the vehicle.
