Removal and installation the knock sensor

Removal the knock sensor

1. Disconnect the breather pipe from the air filter unit (1) and from the front panel (2).



2. Remove the breather pipe (3).

3. Remove the engine oil dipstick.

4. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (4).



5. Unscrew the knock sensor using a 24 mm socket for removing and installing the clutch release cylinder (Emb. 1797).

Installing a knock sensor

1. Install the knock sensor using the 24mm clutch release cylinder socket (Emb. 1797).

2. Tighten the knock sensor to 20 Nm.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
