Removal and installation the coolant temperature sensor

Removal the coolant temperature sensor

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the air filter unit.

3. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector (1).



4. Remove the coolant temperature sensor (2).

Installing the coolant temperature sensor

Note: Replace the coolant temperature sensor gasket with a new one after each removal.

1. Using a cleaning agent, clean and degrease the mounting surface of the coolant sensor on the cylinder block.

2. Install the coolant temperature sensor with a new gasket.

3. Connect the coolant temperature sensor connector.

4. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

5. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
