Functional diagram of the fuel supply system
The fuel supply system is a system without fuel return to the tank. The fuel supply pressure does not depend on the engine load.
The system consists of:
- fuel rail without return pipe fitting and without fuel pressure regulator;
- a single pipeline 2. coming from the fuel tank;
- fuel supply unit pump / sensor / fuel filter. including pressure regulator 3, fuel pump 4 and fuel filter 5 (the unit is in the fuel tank);
- tank of the fuel vapor recovery system 6.
Fuel filter
Fuel filter (fixed) located in the fuel tank and is part of the fuel pump/fuel level sensor assembly. To replace the fuel filter, the fuel pump/fuel level sensor assembly must be replaced.
However, monitoring the fuel supply pressure and the performance of the fuel pump allows you to diagnose the fuel pump / fuel level sensor assembly.
