Note: The drive and control unit is installed in the middle part of the rear suspension.

Removal


Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Disconnect the battery.

Remove the bottom of the storage compartment on the center console 1.

Remove the bottom of the storage compartment on the center console 1.


Pull the emergency release cable, this will cause the parking brake cables to loosen, causing noise.



Remove the handle. Raise the car.

Remove the handle. Raise the car.


Mark the position of the emergency drive cable so that it can be routed along the original route during installation.

Pull the emergency release cable under the bottom of the vehicle.

Disconnect the emergency release cable from the vehicle body.

Disconnect the emergency release cable from the vehicle body.


Remember the routing of the brake cables so that you can route them along the same route during installation.

Remove:
  • brake caliper cables;
  • cables from guides.

Leave the parking brake cables hanging.

Leave the parking brake cables hanging.


Disconnect 2 connector of drive and control unit.



Remove:
  • mounting bolts 3 drive and control unit;
  • drive and control unit.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the drive and control unit mounting bolts to the body to the required torque of 21 N·m.

When installing, place the brake cables along the previous route.

Note: With the ignition on, release the automatic parking brake actuator (pull the parking brake control handle: press the switch), the automatic parking brake system locking is accompanied by an audible signal. The selection of slack is carried out automatically.


CAUTION: Perform a full check and clear the fault from the ECU memory using a diagnostic tool.


Configure the parking brake ECU.

Connect the battery.

Perform the necessary programming.
