Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the front wheels.
Install a pressure device on the brake pedal to prevent brake fluid leakage.
Remove:
- the pressure spring from the front of the bracket:
- bracket that holds the hose on the clamp;
- brake hose from the bracket;
- two protective caps for the guide pins:
- two bolts for fastening the guide pins:
- bracket.
Check the condition of the brake hose and replace it if necessary. If the bracket is replaced, the brake hose must be replaced.
Installation
Move the piston into the cylinder until it stops using the Ege. 823 device.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention! Before driving the car, press the brake pedal several times to set the wheel cylinder pistons to the working position.
If the bottom of the brake fluid reservoir was not exposed during the operation, bleed one circuit of the brake system, otherwise bleed the entire brake system (see Bleeding the brake system).
Repair
If there are scratches on the mirror of the bracket cylinder, the bracket assembly must be replaced.
Remove the protective cap.
Push the piston out of the cylinder by forcing a stream of compressed air through the fluid inlet, so as not to damage the piston on the surface of the bracket when pushing it out, place a wooden pad under the piston.

If there are impact marks on the piston skirt, it is unsuitable for further use.
Using a flexible plate with a rounded edge (for example, a flat feeler gauge) remove the rectangular sealing ring from the cylinder groove.
