Note. The valve body is pre-filled with brake fluid.
The bleeding procedure is applied after removing the following items:
- hydroblock:
- master brake cylinder;
- pipeline (between hydraulic block and brake master cylinder).
Note. Brake system. equipped with ABS. must not have malfunctions and must work reliably, otherwise the hydraulic and electrical parts of the ABS must be restored to good condition.
Bleed the brake system in the usual way by depressing the brake pedal or using a special bleeder.
Note. If, during a road test using ABS control, the pedal travel is found to be incorrect. bleed the hydraulic unit.
Bleeding the hydraulic unit
Attention! Follow the bleeding order: start with the right rear brake, then move to the left rear, left front and right front brake.
Bleed the right rear brake by bleeding the hydraulic block secondary circuit using the scan tool:
- connect the bleeder container and hose, open the valve to bleed air from the brake mechanism:
- press the brake pedal (about 10 times);
- while holding the pedal down, run the bleed control program using the scan tool (see chapter «Additional information on diagnostics»);
- depress the brake pedal while bleeding with the scan tool;
- At the end of the bleed cycle with the scan tool, continue bleeding with the brake pedal and close the brake bleed valve.
Carry out the procedure described in point a) for left rear, left front and right front brakes.
Check the pedal stroke, if it does not correspond to the required one, carry out the bleeding procedure again.
Attention! Make sure there is enough brake fluid in the reservoir.
