1. If for any reason the connections of the brake pipes, hoses or other components of the brake system are broken, it is necessary to bleed the system from air.
2. Before pumping, remove dirt from the pumping fittings and the tank filler cap.
3. If only the wheel cylinder or caliper was removed, it is enough to bleed only the corresponding brake circuit, i.e. between front left and rear right, or front right and rear left wheels. Otherwise, you can start pumping either on the rear or front wheels.
4. Remove the protective cap from the bleeder port and attach a transparent hose to it. Lower the other end of the hose into a glass vessel with a small amount of brake fluid.
5. Instruct the assistant to press the brake pedal to the stop. Loosen the bleeder plug half a turn when the pedal is fully depressed. Watch for fluid coming out of the hose.
6. As soon as air bubbles disappear from the liquid, all air is removed from the system. Hold the brake pedal before the last lift and close the choke valve. Slowly return the pedal to its original position.
7. Perform similar work in the specified sequence on other brake mechanisms.
8. Please note that the brake fluid level must be constantly monitored to prevent air from entering the system. Never use the brake fluid pumped out of the system for refueling. Also, do not use liquid that has been stored in an open container for a long time. To avoid any problems, purchase genuine Renault brake fluid.
